World Cup champion Iker Casillas stunned millions of viewers around the globe when he kissed his reporter girlfriend as she interviewed him live on TV.
The stunning Sara Carbonero, whose face became closer in shade to the red face paint she wore in support of her home nation, was clearly taken aback as every interview technique in the book suddenly flew out the window.
The classic TV moment followed on from Spain’s 1-0 historic extra time victory against Holland and the Real Madrid goalkeeper’s once in a lifetime moment in the spotlight as he lifted the golden trophy in Johannesburg.
It seems the Spaniard just couldn’t help but share his joy with the love of his life (and the rest of the world) as his impromptu heat of the moment emotions took over.
The 29-year-old keeper was buzzing from the victory as he thanked his family before some tears of joys momentarily stopped him in his flow.
The WAG offered to take a short break to let her partner compose but he surprisingly shook his head saying “no, this is what I want to do” before swooping in for the smooch.
The scene was a complete contrast to the duos first round interview following Spain’s defeat to Switzerland – a result which made the Spanish supporters dubious of the influence the pictchside presenter - ranked sexiest sports reporter in the world by FHM online - was having on her other half.
However, this worry was quietly brushed under the table after the current European Champions went from strength to strength in the competition before scoring the winning goal with just four minutes left to play before the match moved into penalties.
A chorus of claps and cheers followed the now famous kiss leaving the blushing presenter to sign off her 2010 World Cup coverage and shyly pass the viewers back to the studio.
