Superstar footballer Lionel Messi is riding high on the success Argentina has enjoyed so far in this World Cup. Whilst the England team players focus on their must-win match tomorrow, Messi is looking ahead, planning a World Cup party should Argentina go on to win the tournament.
The striker hopes to celebrate in style with an A-list guestlist including Cheryl Cole and Liam and Noel Gallagher.
He revealed that he is a big fan of Oasis and is desperate for the band to play if Argentina wins.
According to the Sun, the striker claimed his favourite songs are Supersonic and Live Forever, and that he has been playing them to the rest of the squad.
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez introduced Messi to the now-split band.
He said: “I have to say I wasn't expecting much but it is some of the best material I have ever heard. They are absolutely amazing.
"We have agreed that if we win the World Cup we want to fly them over to Argentina for our celebration party. We just need them to name their price."
Messi is also keen to dance with Cheryl Cole at his party. He previously told The Sun: "I don't know if Cheryl is going to want to support England. She might be a bit anti England players at the moment.
"If she is looking for a new nation to follow at the World Cup, she should look no further than Argentina.
"We play the prettiest football, have the prettiest players, and Argentinean men also know how to treat their women” – a clear dig at Cheryl’s ex Ashley Cole ’s love-rat ways.
The cheeky footballer added: "She would of course have to do the Tango. I don't think there would be a shortage of Argentinean players willing to help teach her."
Cheryl wouldn’t need much practice having showed off her flair for the steamy Argentinean dance when she teamed up with ‘good friend’ Derek Hough in the video for her single Parachute.
