Britain's Got Talent standout Susan Boyle has already found backing from an army of Scottish fans.

The unlikely singing star of Saturday’s first show dazzled with a stunning version of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Misérables, with many viewers already tipping her to win the show.

B Massie commented: “Susan Boyle is absolutely fantastic, a very beautiful voice and she did Scotland proud.”

Among the well-wishers was Andy Robertson, who said: “You were fantastic. I wish you well in your new career, you are a great tonic to us all.

“Thank you over and over again - and that’s from all of the world, not only Scotland by the way.”

The Scottish singer's audition has become a huge hit on the internet, with people from afar as Japan and the US watching her performance an amazing three million times.

"I can't believe all of this, but I suppose it will sink in eventually,” Susan has admitted. “I had no idea the show was a worldwide thing.

"I never dreamed of reaching that many people. I am very flattered."

Susan reportedly also received a standing ovation for her Britain's Got Talent performance when she went to her local church for a service on Easter Sunday.

She is expected to be offered a record contract by show boss and head judge Simon Cowell regardless of the outcome of the stv show.
