Another week, another amazing skate from Ray Quinn.
This week he was Rock N’ Roll Ray as he skated to Rock Around the Clock by James E Myers and Max Freedman.
Looking every inch the Teddy Boy, Ray sported a quiff and sparkly jacket and he had the moves to match.
In training Ray had admitted that he was finding the fast pace of this week’s routine and the complicated moves, tough going. He was especially worried about injuring partner Maria.
But he needn’t have worried. He skated perfectly and even managed to pull off a Torvill and Dean special – the Barnum move.
It looked like he was destined for another night of full marks but Jason Gardiner spoiled that, by awarding him 5.5.
We’re sure he wasn’t disappointed with 29.5 but it would have been nice to get 30 for two weeks in a row, especially as he deserved it.
The strongest skater in the competition, Ray has got to be a favourite to win the show. Can’t wait to see what he pulls out the bag next week.
