As we approached week six of Dancing on Ice, we discovered that as contestants are being voted off and numbers are dwindling, the celebrities are really bonding. In fact, they're getting very close indeed.
Before being voted off last Sunday - week six of the show - Ellery Hanley said, “Everybody’s become very attached to one another and genuinely like each other, probably to the point of loving each other.”
Coleen Nolan explained, “There’s a great bond between us all now. I think the longer you’re in it, and the more it’s whittled down, the people that are left get closer and closer.” Coleen added that, “the worst time on a Sunday night is during the Skate Off.”
Coleen’s become particularly close to Melinda Messenger and Ellery, “We all get along really well, especially me and Melinda. She does make ma laugh so much.” Coleen’s worst fears were realised this weekend. Speaking before Sunday, she said, “I couldn’t bear it if Melinda or Ellery go out before me, because I just love them to bits. I think I want to go before them because I can’t bear saying goodbye to them.
Jessica Taylor and Roxanne Pallett have also formed a close bond. “I feel like I wouldn’t want to do the show if I wasn’t doing it with Roxy,” Jessica confessed. Roxanne is just grateful to be there at all, “No amount of money in the world could buy this experience and it’s not going to be here forever. We’re so lucky to be in this position... It’s like a dream, we don’t want anyone to wake us up out of it. It’s amazing!”
Ray Quinn wanted to keep his gang of boys - down to just the two after Ellery’s eviction - in the contest, “I love Ellery and Donal... There’s only three of us left.” He then added, “The girls have taken over.”
