Captain America: The First Avenger is the latest superhero movie to hit our screens. Packed with action and terrific performances, the movie is a highly enjoyable slice of blockbuster action.

Chris Evans stars as Steve Rogers who is recruited for a secret research project by Dr Erskine after being deemed unfit for military service.

The project turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America’s ideals.

When Dr Erskine is assassinated, Captain America wages war on the evil HYDRA organisation, led by the villainous Red Skull, played by Hugo Weaving.

The movie is set during World War II and also stars Tommy Lee Jones as Colonel Chester Phillips and Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter.

The movie is highly enjoyable, and fans of the Marvel comic books won’t be disappointed.
