Titanic 3D – does it sink or swim?

Love it or loathe it, director James Cameron’s box office smash Titanic is back in cinemas to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

Star Kate Winslet said: “I think it’s one of those films which has really stood the test of time.

“It’s because it’s actually an old-fashioned love story.”

Yes, the epic romance starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet as Jack and Rose is still three hours long.

And you still need your hankies for an ending which surprises nobody.

But this time round one thing is different – audiences can watch it all in 3D.

Director James Cameron explained: “It took us over a year to do the conversion, a very painstaking process as you can imagine.

“But I love the result, I love the way the film looks.”

Winslet added: “The experience of seeing it in 3D is very different – it’s even more powerful watching it this way around.”
