Kate Beckinsale was "panicked" when she was asked to use an axe on the set of 'Underworld: Awakening'.
The British actress - who has played lead character Selene in all of the movies in the series - admits she is happy to play with guns while on set but was nervous when she was asked to use the wood-chopping device.
She said: "I'm very happy with a gun. I don't mind a machine gun, I'm perfectly happy with my pistols, but I always panic if I'm given, well, I have an axe in this movie, and I had a lot of angst about the axe.
"I just felt like, 'Is anyone really going to buy me with it?' And it actually comes out OK, but axes and knives I'm a bit more nervous; with guns, I feel like I know what I'm doing!"
Despite the success of the movies, Kate is unsure if there will be any more in the future.
She added to Buzzinefilm.com: "I didn't know there was going to be a fourth one. Don't ask me. I'm the worst person to ask. I said we were done after three, so I don't know. Let's see if anyone likes this one."
