Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart clearly have great chemistry both on and off camera – something which hasn’t gone unnoticed by top film producers.

According to reports, producers of a forthcoming romantic comedy are desperate to bag the Twilight stars for the lead roles in their movie.

A Hollywood insider told Showbiz Spy: “The story revolves around two actors who meet on a movie and fall in love.

“The producers want to get an actual couple to plays the leads and Kristen and Robert are top of their list. They are looking for new challenges after Twilight so this may be perfect for them.”

We can’t quite see Kristen enjoying a sickly sweet rom-com part, but according to the couple’s Twilight co-star, Taylor Lautner, Robert would be perfect to play the funny guy.

He told Heat magazine: “He's a great guy. He's hilarious and I think that's the thing people don't see enough of that with him.

“I'm always laughing when I'm with the guy. He's hysterical."

The Twilight cast are currently doing the promotional rounds for Breaking Dawn, which is released on November 18.
