Golden Globe Awards hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler get into swing

Stars are gearing up for the prestigious annual Golden Globe Awards, which take place next weekend on January 13 in Beverly Hills.

Hosting this year's event will be former Golden Globe winner Tina Fey of 30 Rock fame, and Golden Globe nominee Amy Poehler of hit US comedy Parks and Recreation.

Fey and Poehler were in hilarious form as they discussed their reasons for agreeing to host the ceremony, boding well for how well they’ll do on the night.

The pair take over from British comedian Ricky Gervais, who hands over the duties after his controversial stint as host.

As well as that, watch the video above for a host of Golden Globe highlights, including appearances by the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Mickey Rooney, Doris Day, Audrey Hepburn and Clint Eastwood.

The 70th annual Golden Globe Awards will be presented at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and will be airing live on NBC.

The Cecil B. DeMille award will be given this year to actress, director and producer Jodie Foster.
