Robert Downey Jr. has Call of Duty as he stars in video game trailer

Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. has a high-flying cameo in the latest "Call of Duty" video game trailer.

Guy Ritchie directed the Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes star in the ad for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, in which he appears piloting a fighter jet.

The ad also features French actor Omar Sy, and Internet personalities like iJustine. None of the actors joined in production of the actual game, though Avatar star Sam Worthington voices a key character in the main storyline.

Downey Jr. will next be seen on the big screen in the hotly anticipated Iron Man 3, due out next May.

Meanwhile Call of Duty: Black Ops II is due out worldwide for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on November 13. It's due out on Nintendo's new Wii U console on November 18 in North America.

The first-person shooter game features three modes: a single-player story set in 2025 with flashbacks to the 1980s, multiplayer, and a zombie mode in which players use teamwork and strategy to fend off the undead.
