The cast of the new Disney animated movie Wreck-It Ralph attended the premiere last night – and revealed more about the “terrific” story which delves into the world of video games.
The film includes performances from John C. Reilly, Jack McBrayer, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch, Adam Carolla and Ed O'Neill.
"This movie is about a guy, who was a bad guy in a video game, who has a mid-life crisis," explained actor John C. Reilly from the red carpet.
"He decide 'I don't want to be the bad guy anymore, I don't like it when people don't like me.'
“He leaves his game and goes off on this vision quest to try and find himself, or to become a better person or at least get people to like him, and he is completely unprepared for the worlds of these other video games that he ends up in."
“The video game aspect of course is really fun and cute, but for the most part what makes it a great movie is that it is a terrific story," said Jane Lynch.
"It is really a heroes journey about a guy who is tired of his life and tired of being in one role - the role of the bad guy. He decides to take a risk and jump his game, at great risk to himself, because if you die in another game you really die."
As well as talking about the film, the actors, some who are from New York or work there, discussed the storm that has hit the East Coast.
Actor Jack McBrayer said he left everything there and is just hoping for the best.
"Well we shoot 30 Rock over in New York, so I just left everything there and so far I haven't heard anything terrible," he explained.
"I have my phone on me, so I am sure it would be heating up right now. We have to just batten down the hatches."
- Wreck-It Ralph opens in the UK on February 15.
