Fangs for coming: Twilight stars snub National Movie Awards
Whilst the Harry Potter stars shone on the red carpet at the National Movie Awards, there was a notable absence from the big winners on the night, namely the Twilight cast.
Despite winning three awards at the London ceremony, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner failed to make an appearance to pick up the gongs.
Instead, the honour was left to Peter Facinelli who plays Carlisle Cullen, R-Pattz father figure in the Twilight saga.
Fans were obviously desperate to catch a glimpse of their Twilight favourites, in particularly Pattinson, screaming at every clip that was shown from the movie, but they were left disappointed.
When Rob was awarded Performance of the Year, he did appear on a video clip (complete with new short haircut) from the set of new movie Water for Elephants and thanked fans for their continued support both for him and all things Twilight.
Twi-Hards were also treated to an exclusive clip from forthcoming movie Eclipse, but it did little to soften the blow that the stars couldn’t make it to pick up Best Fantasy film and Most Anticipated Movie for the summer.
