Reese Witherspoon is in talks to star in 'The Pioneer Woman'.
The Oscar-winning actress is allegedly discussing the possibility of starring in the upcoming Columbia Pictures film, which based on a real-life blog by Ree Drummond.
The blog tells the tale of a woman who, while on a trip from Los Angeles to Chicago, made a detour to Oklahoma where she met a cowboy and fell in love.
It will be the second romantic comedy movie about a city-girl turned country-woman that Reese has starred in.
The 33-year-old star previously played the role of fashion designer Melanie Smooter in 2002's 'Sweet Home Alabama'.
Since writing the blog, Drummond has gone on to create a bestselling cookbook as well as writing her upcoming novel 'Black Heels to Tractor Wheels', which will be published next year.
Reese has a number of other projects in the pipeline including two movies to be released next year - action comedy 'This Means War' and drama 'Water for Elephants' alongside Robert Pattinson and Christoph Waltz.
