Thomas Turgoose would happily give up acting.

The 18-year-old star, who made his name in critically acclaimed crime movie 'The is England', admits he is "not fussed" about making a name for himself in showbiz.

He said: "Right now I'm going to go back to Grimsby and finish my photography course. I could become a freelance photographer or I could go and work in the local fish factory. I'm not fussed. I'm really not."

However, he is annoyed he didn't dress up more when he attended the British Independent Film Awards in 2006 - where he won Best Newcomer.

He said: "I was there with Helen Mirren and Ken Loach, and I was in a pair of jeans. Looking back now I go, 'why didn't I buy a really nice suit?' "

Discussing his latest movie 'The Scouting Book for Boys', Thomas says he sometimes finds it hard to get into character.

He said: "When I was on set, even doing a scene where David is just walking past the caravans, Tom Harper, the film's director, would be like, 'Stop! No! You're being to much like Tommo! Drop your arms a bit. Don't be Tommo!' "
