Kristen Stewart is currently doing the rounds promoting new movie The Runaways and last night, she enjoyed her first ever interview with Jay Leno.

Dressed in a short black minidress and leopard Christian Louboutin heels, the Twilight actress initially looked nervous but relaxed as she spoke about her recent trip to the UK.

Kristen regaled the host with tales of confusion when attempting to order pancakes in a London restaurant, but revealed she is actually partial to a UK dish (and we’re not talking rumoured boyfriend Robert Pattinson).

When asked how she found the food across the pond she said: "I actually don't mind it, it's got a bad rap."

Jay kept to the theme of food and asked Kristen about British sausages.

Not the most meaty of questions (sorry), Kristen replied: "Yeah, they tell you the contents of the sausages on really elaborate menus… And they're bangers, which I think is kinda of weird too, um, considering the connotation."

Fans got to see the softer side of Kristen when she spoke about clearing her throat during her Oscars presenting moment.

She laughed and said: "That's one of those things that'll always replay in your head, like, oh, that happened. Why! WHYYYY!"

She also spoke about her admiration and friendship with Runaways co-star Dakota Fanning and founding member of The Runaways, Joan Jett.

Speaking of Jett she said: "For Joan ... she becomes my friend, and if I don't get every little thing right I'm gonna kill myself."
