Scottish Twilight fans will be in for a big screen treat when the new movie in the franchise, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is released and shown at the only IMAX cinema in Scotland, based in Glasgow Science Centre.
The film is being released on June 30, 2010 and fans of the vampire series will be able to see all the action on a huge screen with enhanced image and sound quality in the cinema, giving an extra edge to the excitement and drama.
Speaking about the news, Richie Fay, Summit Entertainment’s President of Domestic Theatrical Distribution, said: “Twilight moviegoers will have a whole new way to experience this next instalment of the series, with the enhanced image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience putting them in the movie.
“The IMAX release puts us on the event film calendar for 2010, and we’re very excited to work with IMAX to bring a new kind of film to the IMAX theatre network.”
Fans of the films will see favourites Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart return in their roles as vampire Edward Cullen and his love interest.
In the latest movie, Bella is going to find herself in danger once again as Seattle is ravaged by mysterious killings.She is also going to be forced to make a massive decision and choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob (Taylor Lautner) – while knowing that her choice will ignite the ageless struggle between vampires and werewolves.
Meanwhile, rumours are circulating that Pattinson and Stewart – who have been rumoured to be dating for a number of months now – might be set to split, because Rob has been reportedly “playing the field”.
