James McAvoy is to star in a comedy about cancer.
The 'Wanted' actor is to take the lead role in a new movie, expected to be called 'I'm With Cancer', based on the true-life experiences of Hollywood screenwriter Will Reiser who successfully battled the illness in his twenties.
Seth Rogen will co-star in the film, and co-produce with his writing partner Evan Goldberg.
'Friends With Money' filmmaker Nicole Holofcener is to direct for Mandate Pictures, will Will has written the screenplay, adapted from his best-selling book.
Filming is scheduled to start next year after Seth and Evan complete work on their superhero blockbuster 'The Green Hornet'.
James has not starred in a movie since 'Wanted', but is also expected to commit to a sequel to the action adventure.
