Robert Pattinson says sites like Twitter destroy privacy

The Twilight star claims the social networking site has made it easy for obsessed fans to follow him constantly.

Robert Pattinson has spoken out to claim Twitter has destroyed his privacy.

The Twilight star is hounded by over-excited fans wherever he goes.

In June the actor was almost hit by a taxi after trying to escape a group of over-excited followers.

Now he’s claimed that sites such as Twitter let obsessive fans know how to track him down constantly.

Contactmusic quoted him as saying: "I can't remember what my normal life is like. Because of Internet stuff and Twitter, there will be a crowd if you are in a place for more than half an hour... I've learned never to stay in the same place for more than 20 minutes.”

He added: “The biggest challenge is coping with the crowds. I am a quiet, private person. It's strange. You have to change a little bit. Walking down the street comes with screaming.”
