Gothic feast: The Rocky Horror
Rocky Horror Show fans can take their love of musicals to dizzy new heights tonight, as a special version of the show is staged at over 100 feet in the air.
The event, which is being run as part of the Edinburgh Fringe’s Festival in the Sky, will invite people to sit at a 22-person dinner table suspended in the air, overlooking the stunning sights of the city.
Guests will be lifted to ‘The Lab’, before being serenaded with hits including The Time Warp and Dammit Janet! by Frank N. Furter, Janet, Brad and Riff Raff.
Steven Crawford, who plays Dr. Frank N. Furter in the current production of the musical, said: “If you think our show is entertaining with your feet on the ground then get your fishnets on and join us in the sky.
“It’s not for the faint hearted, but if a wild ride of dance, sci-fi and b-movie horror is what you’re after, you won’t find anything better. We want everyone singing along and getting into the Rocky Horror spirit.”
Oli Norman, the managing director DADA, which brought Festival in the Sky to Scotland, added: “Festival in the Sky has hosted some of the most exciting acts of the 2010 Edinburgh Festival and we’re rounding off our speciality performances with a night of absolute pleasure with the Rocky Horror cast. This will be one of the wildest rides yet.”
