Rising comedian Tiffany Stevenson introduced STV to her Edinburgh Festival stand-up show, 'Cavewoman'.  The show centres around the theme of relationships and how men and women have evolved (or not) over time.

The multi-skilled performer has had a variety of experiences in her journey into the limelight, having acted alongside the likes of Ricky Gervais in The Office and Stephen Fry in Absolute Power.  She also hosted sell-out London comedy night, 'Old Rope', with fellow funnyman Phil Nichol.

Stevenson shared her experiences of the challenge of writing new material under pressure following her recent appearances on hit TV show Show Me the Funny.  She told STV:

Cavewoman comic Tiffany Stevenson returns to the Edinburgh Fringe.

"That's been the best thing about the show actually: knowing what I can achieve in 24 hours," she tells STV, "In 24 hours I can write stuff and I can go on a stage, remember it and it be funny.  That's the main thing."

Not a stranger to the Fringe either, she'll wants to build on the success of her 2010 show 'Dictators', which received many positive reviews.

Speaking about this year's Edinburgh Festival show she said: "It's called 'Cavewoman' because it's about evolution and it's about women's place in the world, what's changed over time and a bit about my journey.

"The other thing I look at is inventions and innovations and how obviously we've evolved - we've moved forward because we have all of these great inventions.  But when, actually, you look at the need behind them it's quite primal.  Normally it's a man trying to impress a woman; it's the same reason any man learns to play those five chords to 'Wonderwall', isn't it?"

Check out 'Cavewoman' at the Stand Comedy Club 3 & 4 at 2:25pm during the Festival. The show runs from the 11th-28th August.  For tickets and information visit the Edinburgh Festival website.
