Pippa Middleton may have been flying solo when she attended the wedding of Marlborough College school friend Alice St John Webster and Gerald Alvenel at the weekend, but it gave her the perfect opportunity to catch up with big sister Kate, or Catherine as she is officially known.

The Duchess of Cambridge also attended the nuptials with her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, but she was delighted to have Pippa by her side, as she desperately misses their good old girly gossips.

The sisters are extremely close but busy schedules often keep them apart, so they cherish every moment they get to spend together.

And they certainly had plenty to whisper about at the wedding as not one, but two of Kate’s old flames were in attendance!

Willem Marx, Kate’s high school love, and Henry Ropner, whom the Duchess is believed to have dated after briefly splitting from Prince William in 2007, were also invited to celebrate Alice and Gerald’s happy day.

Although clearly delighted to have married her Prince Charming, we’re sure the Middleton sisters would have had a giggle at the slightly awkward situation.

Kate wore a summery pink floral £490 silk gown by London-based brand Beulah, while Pippa opted for a pink and black Alice Temperley dress, which set her back £380.

Pippa has attended three weddings in the past few months but she is yet to find her own knight in shining armour.

Could that be about to change? The stunning 28-year-old is rumoured to have reunited with ex boyfriend Alex Loudon – news which is sure to delight her big sister, who has been keen to see her settle down.
