The legendary duo are hosting the live shows which they describe as miniature versions of the television series combined with exhibitionism and professionalism from a selection of the world’s most impressive ice-skaters:
“On the tour we do repeat the competition as we do on the series. Each night there’s a competition and two of our celebrities get to skate Bolero as the winners of each night. The second half of the show is like a full on exhibition and the professionals go out and do their stuff and we do our stuff.”
The Brit’s promise appearances from the top performers of this year’s show such as champion and Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden. Jorgie Porter, famous for playing feisty Teresa McQueen in the channel 4 soap, Hollyoakes has also signed up with partner Matt Evers. Next to return to the ice is singing sensation Heidi Range who promises to wow fans once again with her elegant performances and fearless routines.
Audiences will also be treated to a special performance from last year’s winner Sam Attwater who graces Glasgow after his daring routines and complex choreography made him one of the show’s most memorable contestants.
However, the true gem of this tour is the chance to see Torvill and Dean on their triumphant return to Glasgow. Dean shared his anticipation saying: “It’s great to be back in Glasgow, we first performed in this building back in 1989. We were only 15 at the time.”
