The country’s number one entertainment show is back – and this year the search for the next pop superstar is travelling further and wider with The X Factor Mobile Auditions.
It’s set to offer a chance for budding artists to try out in towns and cities where the arena auditions tour doesn't reach.
The show, which airs on STV, is linking up with its sponsors Talk Talk for the new route into the show.
The Mobile Audition van begins its hunt for talented solo artists and vocal groups on 25th April, in Plymouth and will continue to travel across multiple UK cities throughout April and May.
Multi-award winning singer/songwriter Gary Barlow, who is back on the panel for 2012, explained: “We want to make sure we find all the talent the country has to offer and the extra auditions allow even more people to try out.”
And in another exciting first for the series, people can enter The X Factor whether they are an amateur artist, have had a management deal in the past or have one now. Applicants must be aged 16 or over. Acts can also apply via Facebook until May 8 at facebook.com/TheXFactor.
The Judges Audition tour starts later in the Spring, before the show returns to STV screens later in the year.
