Scottish summer music festival T in the Park has announced a host of new acts to the line-up including with Hilltop Hoods, Fun, King Charles, The Parlotones, Dog is Dead, Blood Red Shoes, Ren Harvieu and Mull Historical Society.
This year’s event will see an 85,000-strong crowd descend upon Balado near Perth from July 6 to 8, with this year’s headliners being The Stone Roses, Snow Patrol and Kasabian.
The new bands added to the bill are Hilltop Hoods, Fun, King Charles, The Parlotones, Dog is Dead, Blood Red Shoes, Ren Harvieu, Mull Historical Society, Stooshe, Here We Go Magic, The Minutes and Lonsdale Boys Club.
Hip-hop trio Hilltop Hoods have been described as one of Australia’s leading live acts, with six studio albums in (including three number ones).
New York indie-pop band Fun. achieved massive success when their hit single We Are Young (featuring Janelle Monáe) hit the top of U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the first rock/alternative song to do so since Coldplay's Viva la Vida.
West London indie-pop singer-songwriter King Charles became the first ever Brit to win Nashville’s International Songwriting Competition in 2010 after impressing a prestigious judging panel including Tom Waits, Jeff Beck and Kings of Leon. Having supported Mumford & Sons on their sold-out US tour, he releases debut album Loveblood next month.
Other bands also on the bill include Tinie Tempah, Florence + The Machine, New Order, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Nicki Minaj and Skrillex.
