Scotland’s magician-of-the-moment Ryan Davidson wowed the Glasgwegian crowds last week when he performed four jaw dropping sell-out shows at The Buff Club.
With acts like Dynamo raising the profile of magic, Ryan has seen a surge in popularity after gaining a ‘must-see’ reputation and mastering his art at corporate events, weddings, charity nights and exclusive private parties.
Part conjurer, part con man, he has quickly established himself as an in-demand performer and following on from the success of last week’s shows, he has added a new date at Buff on April 26.
Ryan started out in magic after a chance meeting with a hustler, while on holiday in Greece, who taught him a con to hustle money from people. This sparked an interest in modern con artists and card cheats which inevitably crossed over into the art of magic. He has been a serious student of the art ever since.
The handsome magician said: “I have been blown away by the response from people. It's a big move from performing at weddings, parties and corporate events. It's bigger tricks involving more people.
“This is my own 90 minute show so it's taking things up a level. You can't write a show overnight. It's taken a long time to put it together but the response was well worth the wait.”
Ryan’s talents haven’t gone unnoticed by those with an eye for the next big thing and he is set to film an exclusive series of tricks for stv.tv/entertainment in the coming weeks… More details to follow.
