Sir Bruce Forsyth opened the National Television Awards at London’s O2 Arena in style tonight, as the legendary entertainer performed a very special duet with Ant and Dec.
Brucie kicked off the special performance by singing Let There Be Love, before the Geordie pair ran on stage.
Sir Bruce joked: “Let Simon (Cowell) know I’m not auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent!”
Brucie – who has been entertaining the nation for 70 years – and the comedy duo name-checked stars such as Jonathan Ross and Martin Clunes in their amusing version of the song.
The trio also danced – and pranced - around the stage as they kept the audience in stitches throughout their routine.
This year is the 17th annual National Television Awards, with the glitzy ceremony attended by over a thousand famous faces from the world of TV.
The cream of the crop are competing across 14 categories, for awards which have been selected by the public, who voted in a nationwide poll for their favourite actors and actresses.
